More than two out of three people worldwide tuned in for the Beijing Olympics. Nielsen Media Research says 4.7 billion viewers globally saw at least some of the 17 days of TV coverage last month. This audience was one-fifth larger than the 3.9 billion who watched the 2004 Olympic Games in Athens.

I wanted to profile Google (GOOG) as it is a great chart for a technician. The chart below shows the entire history of Google since their IPO in August of 2004. The chart clearly shows two well defined up trends and now a down trend. And what is even more important is the formation of a descending triangle. Just in case you don't pay attention to paper based products, or visit a newstand, Esquire did something pretty awesome yesterday. They've released the first ever digital ink magazine. And it features the very first e-ink ad - for the Ford Flex. They've utilized the same e-ink technology as the Amazon Kindle. Wired doesn't like it. (Jealous?)
