Skyfire Announces Public Beta and Forthcoming Symbian Client

In a press release (PDF) today, mobile browser developer Skyfire has announced the expansion of its beta program to public access with the release of browser version 0.8. The new version features improvements regarding handling of AJAX, Flash, and other rich media, a new navigation bar dubbed “SuperBar” as well as the ability to download content directly from the browser. The company also stated that it would be releasing the 0.8 version for Series 60 with no specific timeframe given.
